Course Info
FAQs
Can we receive a discount for a group booking?
Please get in touch and we can discuss options for larger groups.
Can I book as an individual?
Absolutely. Most days can be booked privately, and some courses may be available as open group bookings where individuals can join others.
What are your group sizes?
Group sizes vary depending on the activity, terrain and safety requirements. Smaller groups often provide a more personal experience and allow for greater flexibility throughout the day. Typical scrambling ratios are often 1:2, with other activities varying depending on the objective.
What equipment do I need?
Equipment requirements vary depending on the activity and season. A kit list will be provided before your day. If you're missing something, I may be able to suggest rental options or help source suitable equipment.
See below for an example of a full kit list of suggested equipment and clothing.
Do I need to fill in any forms prior?
Yes please!
Once you've booked, we will send you an email with all the information. Included will be our Participation Form.
Do I need previous experience?
Many of the days I run are suitable for beginners or those looking to build confidence in the mountains. If you're unsure whether a route, course or adventure is right for you, get in touch and we can discuss your experience and goals.
How fit do I need to be?
Different objectives require different levels of fitness. Each course or guided day includes guidance on the expected fitness level. If you're unsure, simply ask.
Will I be safe?
Yes.
All our instructors are fully qualified and insured, giving you the confidence to gain skills in new terrain. We run all our courses with a "challenge by choice" ethos, we won't push you to do anything that you are not happy with.
What happens if the weather is poor?
Mountain weather is part of the adventure, but safety always comes first. If conditions are unsuitable for the planned objective, we may adjust the route, change the venue or reschedule where appropriate.
Where do we meet?
A location can be discussed for your day oot with us and will be specified in your confirmation e-mail.
Are courses and guided days insured?
I hold appropriate professional qualifications, first aid certification and public liability insurance for the activities I deliver.
What is your cancellation policy?
A deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due before the activity. Full cancellation terms are provided at the time of booking.
